The best part of my career is seeing children in my schedule and being part of teaching them good oral health. It’s been a pleasure watching them grow up from their first cleaning with me to now be in high school and college. I am an Army Veteran, and have been practicing dental hygiene since 2000. My very rewarding career with Ann Arbor Smiles began in 2004. The doctors always provide staff with the latest technology and up to date continuing education courses. Outside of the office I spend time playing softball several days a week and riding my motorcycle. During the winter months I bowl, lift weights, and play racquetball.
I have been with Ann Arbor Smiles for 26 years, and I wouldn’t consider working anywhere else. I enjoy practicing Dental Hygiene and find that we are a fantastic team. I truly feel a calling to serve and help others. I have two wonderful girls, Alexis and Averie, and two crazy pups. I enjoy dabbling with art and sports. I love to travel, and take in Mother Nature.
I feel very fortunate to join the innovative and supportive team here at Ann Arbor Smiles! I graduated from the University of Michigan’s Dental Hygiene program in 2005 with honors and have been practicing hygiene ever since. My favorite part of my career has been getting to know my patients and their families and helping them to have healthier mouths over time. I strive to provide gentle, thorough care to all my patients. When I’m not cleaning teeth, I enjoy golfing, sporting events, cooking and trivia with friends. My fiancé and I have two large dogs and a cat who keep our house very busy!
I feel so lucky to be a part of such an innovative, patient centered practice. I love getting to know my patients and their families. It is such a pleasure to educate and motivate someone to have a gorgeous healthy smile. I have been with Ann Arbor Smiles since 2010. I began my career in dentistry as a pediatric dental assistant, and completed my degree in dental hygiene in 2005. In my free time I enjoy being outdoors, whether golfing, boating, or running with my dog Mya. My Saturdays in the fall are dedicated to University of Michigan Football. At the Big House, or on the TV, I cheer loudly for the Maize and Blue!
I feel so proud and elated to be a hygienist at Ann Arbor Smiles. My career in dentistry started as a dental assistant in a general dentistry practice in 1998. Soon I wanted to advance my expertise and focus on dental hygiene. I graduated from dental hygiene school in 2003 and have been actively practicing since. What I love most about my career is trying to make patients feel as comfortable and relaxed as I can with humor and a gentle touch. I recently relocated to Ann Arbor from Asheville, North Carolina to be closer to my son. Family is very important to me and that is what it feels like when you come into Ann Arbor Smiles. We treat you like family. In my spare time I enjoy spending time with my son, two dogs and getting to know my way around Ann Arbor!
Ann Arbor Smiles is a great place to work. I enjoy my job, all of my patients and my co-workers. We laugh together a lot, support one another, and appreciate having a wonderful working environment. I have been one of Dr. Marzonie’s dental assistants for over 13 years. When I’m not working I enjoy being with my family and friends, reading, fishing and spending time at our lake.
After five years in the dental field I am thrilled to be an assistant at Ann Arbor Smiles! I grew up very close to Smiles in Ypsilanti, Michigan. When I’m not working, my pride and joy is my son. I’m the oldest of four and come from a very big, loving family. In my free time I enjoy spending time with my son, good food, reading, long walks and almost anything active.
My name is Denise and I started out in the dental field in 1984. I loved it from the start. Over the years I have been lucky enough to learn and master nearly every specialty. I am excited to be at Ann Arbor Smiles and to be a part of such a wonderful family. When I am not elbow high in dentistry, I love to be on the slopes in the winter or on the water in the summer with friends and family. I look forward to caring for each and every one of you.
What I love most about our dental team is the camaraderie I have with my patients, helping them to feel at home. I have been a certified dental assistant at Ann Arbor Smiles for over ten years, assisting Dr. Gray in life changing cosmetic and sedation dentistry. I enjoy spending time with my two sons—fishing, bicycling, and playing basketball together. I also enjoy playing golf with friends.
I have been a dental assistant for 8 years, and have been with Ann Arbor Smiles assisting Dr. Kennedy since the spring of 2012. I take pride in making sure my patients get the best care and experience possible. I assist Dr. Kennedy with orthodontics, endodontic, and cosmetic procedures. I enjoy the many opportunities our generous doctors give us to further our careers, while improving dental care. When I’m not working I enjoy spending time with my son, and attending his soccer games and swim meets. We also enjoy relaxing at our family cottage.
After graduating from the University of Michigan in 2012, I realized that business is my true passion. I love identifying process gaps, improving systems, and managing and working with people. Upon returning to the states in 2013 I worked for several start up companies. Healthcare, specifically dentistry, offers me a great opportunity to put my skills into practice. I am passionate about creating the best possible dental experience from the minute our patients walk in the door. I am working to complete my MBA from Wayne State University. I enjoy spending time with my incredible wife, Kara, working out, leading teams at our church, reading, and cheering on my Michigan Wolverines!
I have over 33 years of dental office experience. My true passion is being part of our business team. We have worked very hard to move into a paperless world, using advanced technology to offer patients convenience. I absolutely love getting to know our patients, greeting them each day and treasuring the special moments they share about their lives. I enjoy spending time with my husband Tom, and our son and daughter. I love working on my genealogy and baking up a storm to share with others.
I have been in the Medical Field since 2008 and I have worked in a variety of fields as a caregiver, a patient care technician, rehabilitation service technician, and as a medical receptionist. I’m so very excited to be part of the Ann Arbor Smiles team and I look forward to the years that come. I love interacting with the patients and their families and I can’t wait to get to know the patients here at Ann Arbor Smiles. In my free time I love spending time with my family, my husband Chris, and our 2 beautiful dogs Cleo and Kinsea. When the weather is nice you can find us outdoors hiking, camping, hunting, or just enjoying the fresh air. I enjoy to sketch, write, and sing whenever I get a chance.
I have been with Ann Arbor Smiles for 29 years. It is my victory and great pleasure to help our patients receive the dental treatment they need. My husband and I have three grown sons, one daughter and seven talented and lovely grandchildren! Our family loves camping, canoeing and traveling.
I’ve been in the dental field for 16 years. At Ann Arbor Smiles the doctors have given me some great opportunities to take continuing education courses that further my dental career. I love to handle small IT problems for the staff and help patients understand their accounts. When I am not working I love to spend time with my daughter, beautiful granddaughter (my little mini me as I like to call her), skyping or texting with my son in Florida, and taking care of my elderly cat Ms. Beasly who is 12.
I’ve been in the dental field for nearly 12 years. I am very excited to be a part of the Ann Arbor Smiles Dental Team.
